Sooraj Rajendran currently serves as Assistant Professor at the School of Spiritual & Cultural Studies, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus. With MA in Philosophy, he is currently pursuing a doctorate in Sustainable Development at Amrita. After graduating with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering, he embarked on a career as a Software Engineer, spending over a decade in the IT industry.
His primary areas of interest lie in Philosophy and Indian culture, particularly the origins of the caste system in India , Sustainable development and Peace and conflict studies. He has presented his research findings at various international conferences.
He has also authored numerous articles for Malayala Manorama, The Pioneer, India TV, and other notable newspapers and online portals. His expertise has led him to deliver numerous talks and participate in various discussions at seminars, conferences, and on TV channels. Also, he mentors and guides several students at Amrita in the field of Comparative Cultures.
