Bio

Ms. Shamili Mariya Varghese joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology at Amrita School of Pharmacy. She completed her M.Pharm and B.Pharm degrees from Amrita School of Pharmacy, Kochi. She worked as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at Amrita School of Pharmacy in contract research entitled – Evaluation of antidepressant activity of spice extracts: Rosemary, Parsley, Ashwagandha, Curcumin and their combinations for Mane Kancor Ingredients Pvt. Ltd, Kochi. Her research projects include the “Evaluation of HDAC1, CLAUDIN-5, AND IL-6 Expression in Depression.” Her primary research interest is to find a suitable biomarker for Depression.
