Dr. Sandeep Surendran completed his MBBS and MD (General Medicine) from Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi. Immediately after this, he joined for the specialist training in Rheumatology from Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi again; after completion of which he has joined as an Assistant Professor in 2019.
His key areas of interest lie in soft tissue rheumatism and fibromyalgia. He has presented numerous posters in the field of fibromyalgia at both national and international conferences. His presentation on the need for outcome measures for Indian patients with fibromyalgia was in-fact well appreciated and was also awarded a bursary from the European League of Rheumatism. In addition to this, he is very well trained in the management of autoimmune and rheumatic diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and sys-temic lupus erythematosus.
Dr. Sandeep currently works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rheumatology at School of Medicine, Kochi.
