Bio

Saravanan is currently pursuing his part time Ph. D. at Amrita School of Business (AACSB Accredited), Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. His PhD thesis title is “Digital Financial Inclusion: An Experimental Study on Generation X Fisherfolks in Coastal Karnataka.” He has presented research papers at conferences organized by IIMs, IITs and NITs. He has published papers in Scopus indexed journals. In the year 2015 he was awarded as “Junior Educator and Scholar” by NFED (National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development) on Teachers Day (5th June 2014). He is a well-trained Management faculty by IIM (IIM Indore- FDP Batch 2015). He received a research fellowship from IIT Delhi during (May-June) 2017. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics and completed MBA in Tamil Nadu College of Engineering. Further he completed his research degree MPhil in Bharathiar University. He has 5 years of industrial experience and more than 15 years of teaching experience. During his corporate career he served as a trainer for reputed financial corporations like Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co Ltd. He trained managers, brokers, bank employees, agents, corporate employees to excel.

He loves swimming, riding bikes and reading. At JKSHIM (Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte – ACBSP Accredited) he teaches financial services, Industrial Marketing, Rural &Social Marketing and Performance Management. He has inclination towards innovation and interactive pedagogy in the class room. He likes to spend time on machine learning, data science and digital marketing. He is associated with few insurance companies as a free-lance trainer.
