Dr. Parthasarathy Srinivasan is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Tiruvallur, Chennai, Since July 2021. Earlier, he was working as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, Punjab, India. He received his Ph.D. and M.Tech. Degrees in Nanoelectronics from SASTRA Deemed University, Thanjavur, India in the year 2020 and 2015, respectively. He received his B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the year 2013. His current research work includes the development of gas/chemical sensors using different nanostructures of metal oxides, metal sulfides, 2-D materials (carbon nitrides), and other organic/inorganic materials towards human exhaled breath analysis. He is working on the fabrication of different types of photo-activated heterostructures towards sensing various VOCs and humidity. In addition, he has been working on the development of a chemo-sensors array (electronic nose) for the quality assessment of food items. He has published more than 30 research articles along with various book chapters to his credit in the areas of gas/chemical, electrochemical and photoluminescence biosensors towards food quality, and health care applications. He has received project grant from Department of Science and Technology- Science and Engineering Research Board- DST-SERB.He has been honored and received Young Scientist Award- 2022 by International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM). He has been serving as topic guest editor for the journal Frontiers in Nanotechnology and been serving as the reviewer for various journals.He has also received CSIR Senior Research Fellowship and DST Junior Research Fellowship during his doctoral research from Prof. C.N.R Rao. He has received 4 best poster presentation awards in various national and international conferences.He has been served as a resource person/ key speaker in various national and international conferences.
