Bio

Dr. Ravichandran Muralidharan currently serves as an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the School of Computing, Amrita School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus. He earned his doctoral degree in the field of Intrusion Detection Systems (Network Security) under the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. It is noteworthy to mention that he has designed the prototype model of the VHF/UHF antenna for the ANUSAT microsatellite launched by ISRO in collaboration with Anna University. He has 21 years and 2 months of teaching experience after Masters in Optical Communication from College of Engineering, Anna University. His core area of research interest include Autonomous Vehicles, Intelligent Transport Systems, Network Security (IDS), Block Chain Technology, Bio-medical Engineering. He has completed two Research Grants in his career so far and has mentored 45 Undergraduate Projects and 11 Post Graduate Projects. He has 38 research publications and has active participation in 6 International Conferences, 21 Workshops and 11 FDP programmes. He has also organized 4 National Workshops and 1 National Conference and has been resource speaker for academic and industry organizations. He is a proud recipient of “Outstanding Scientist” award from Venus International Research Foundation in the year 2018 and also been awarded as “Outstanding Reviewer” from Elsevier Journal. He is also a reviewer in journal titled “International Journal of Engineering and Technology (UAE)” published by Science Publishing Corporation and Editorial board member of “International Journal of Advanced Development in Science and Technology”. He has also evaluated two doctoral thesis so far in his career. He is also a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a member of IEEE, IEI, ISTE, IAENG, and SDIWC professional organizations.
