Bio

Dr. Rajeev Ramakrishnan currently works as assistant professor in the Department of Social Work, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.

He is an esteemed alumnus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, where he completed both his postgraduate studies and PhD. With over four years of corporate experience in the Middle East, Dr. Rajeev brings a diverse perspective to his academic and research pursuits.

His research interests encompass critical areas such as the rights of children, sustainable development of vulnerable communities, issues affecting refugee children, gender mainstreaming, agriculture sustainability of PVTGs, attainment of SDGs, Intervention of technologies for sustainable development of underprivileged communities, climate change and CSR. He has taught various subjects related to social welfare administration, policies, child rights, child protection, and casework to postgraduate students.

In addition to his teaching roles, he served as a Junior Research Fellow at Amrita, contributing to a project funded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. He is an active participant in academic discourse, having attended numerous national and international conferences, and has published several articles in high-profile, Scopus-indexed journals.
