Faculty Bio

Raamsri Kumar is currently working as Faculty Associate in School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. Raamsri Kumar has developed open source Network Attached Storage Servers and Distributed Systems that have been deployed in mission critical sites like ISRO Master Control Facility, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance etc.,. He is a proponent of open source software, and believes in free knowledge.

As a systems programmer with a keen interest on DevOps and SRE, he engineered and orchestrated a web application platform that scaled beyond 10 million users. Being an alumnus with more than six years of experience in the software industry, he has returned to his roots to share his knowledge and skills.

Apart from File Systems, Networks and Cloud Computing, few other areas that keep him entertained are Cognitive Science, Business Dynamics, Systems Thinking and Fluid Dynamics.
