Dr. R. Sabari Giri serves as Physical Training Instructor at Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai campus, Tamil Nadu, India.
He holds a Doctorate Degree in ‘Effect of Different Intensity of Aerobic Exercise on Selected Pulmonary and Biochemical Variables of Untrained Collegiate Men’ from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, in 2017. He completed his M.Phil. (Physical Education) in 2009 from Annamalai University. He completed his MPEd. from Annamalai University in 2007. He holds B.P.E. degree from Annamalai University in 2005.
Dr. R. Sabari Giri has 11 years’ experience as a Director of Physical Education including 9 years in RMK College of Engineering and Technology, Chennai (2008 to 2017) and 2 years in Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology, Pollachi, as the Head, Director of Physical Education, from 2017 to 2019. He is specialized in various indoor and outdoor games such as Table tennis, Badminton, Cricket, Hand ball, Athletics, Volleyball, Basketball, etc. He qualified to the State level Athletic Official Exam, Gym and Aerobic exercise.
Dr. R. Sabari Giri has organized various Tournaments for sports such as Hockey, Chess, Athletics, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Kho-Kho, and Badminton for Anna University (Zonal), MCET Trophy, Sakthi Premier League and SIICAA. His students have performed remarkably well in these events. There are three articles to his credit, which are co-authored by Dr Gopinath V.: ‘Different Intensity of Aerobic Exercise on FEV1’, published in the Global Journal for Research Analysis in 2015; ‘Different Intensity of Aerobic Exercise on Total Cholesterol’ published in Paripex Indian Journal of Research in 2015; and ‘A Comparative study on Aerobic and Resistance Training on Low-Density Liproprotein Cholesterol Concentrations in Men’, which was published by Coimbatore Institute of Technology in 2014. He represented Annamalai University in the All India Inter University Cricket team. He is a permanent member of the Tamilnadu Athletic Association.
