Dr. Purnima Eliz Thomas completed her MBBS from Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical College, Kolenchery, Keralain the year 2010and completed the compulsory one year internship in the same institute in the year 2011.
On completion of the above, she joined National Clinic & Dispensary, Perumanoor, Kochi as a junior doctor.
She joined Government Medical College, Thrissur, Kerala to pursue her Masters degree course in Biochemistryfrom August 2013to August 2016 and completed one year senior residency in the same institute in the year 2017.
Currently, she is working as Assistant Professor in the Departmentof Biochemistry, Amrita School of Medicine from December 2020. She is involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate academic activities and research programme along with her duties in the clinical laboratory. She is also pursuing PGDFM (2018 batch) from CMC Vellore through distance education to keep up to date with the clinical side.
