Priya K S currently serves as a Faculty Associate in the Department of English at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Nagercoil Campus, Tamil Nadu, India. She holds an M.A. and M.Phil. in English Literature from M.S. University, Tirunelveli, and an M.Sc. in Psychology. She is on the verge of completing her Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai, focusing on enhancing technical communication skills among engineering students to support their professional growth.
She has over 15 years of teaching experience in English Language Teaching (ELT), English for Specific Purposes (ESP), Communicative English, English for Academic Purposes (EAP), and Soft Skills. Her academic qualifications include a Certificate in Teaching of English (CTE) and a Post Graduate Diploma in English Language Teaching (PGDELT). She has authored two books on Professional English and has presented several research papers at international conferences and national seminars.
Her areas of interest also include innovative teaching practices using ICT technologies, and she is a certified trainer for Cambridge English Language Assessment, particularly for the BEC (Business English Certificate) programs. She has contributed to various programs for All India Radio, Nagercoil, and is a regular host of the segment “Ainthe nimidathil Angilam” (English in five minutes).
