Bio

Ms Mrudula Prashanth is currently working as Assistant Professor (Sr.Gr.) in the Department of Mecahanical Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. She has a vast teaching experience of 20+ years. She is a very dynamic and dedicated teacher who strives to achieve excellence in any task pursued and always intended to serve humanity at her best. She has worked in very prestigious institutions which has groomed her into an outstanding individual. She is an active researcher as well. She has published her research work in various national and international conferences and prestigious journals.

She has completed her Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Production and Engineering from University of Mysore securing a 7th rank and Masters of Technology from Visveswaraya Technological University ( VTU) securing a gold medal ie., 1st rank in Manufacturing Science and Engineering. Currently she is pursuing Ph d. for VTU . In addition to this she also holds interests in management and she holds MBA degree.

She is an excellent and a versatile teacher who has taught more than 25 + different subjects and 15+ different laboratories pertaining to her field of expertise. She has also completed a certification course in Mastery over mind from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and she teaches the course which is part of B.Tech curriculum.

She has organized various workshops and International conferences meanwhile. She has guided around 15 + projects, published around 20 publications. Her major areas of interests include Alloys, Light Alloys, Cryogenics, and Composites. Her other interests include Yoga, Meditation, Music, Indian (education) system She also holds interest in Indian culture and Indian eduction system and she has delivered few talks related to that as an invited speaker.

Holistically she is a professional in Mechanical Engineering with ethics and humanity.
