Bio

Ms. Muthulakshmi R currently serves as Faculty Associate at the Department of Commerce and Management, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi.

She has done her Masters in Commerce (M. Com. Finance and Systems) from Amrita University Kochi Campus and Masters in Business Management (MBA Finance and H R) from Mahatma Gandhi University. She has completed M. Phil. degree from CUSAT School of Management Studies in 2016. She has 11 years of experience in teaching, 5 years in research and 3 years in the industry.

She holds a 2nd rank for M. Phil. in commerce in 2016. She has also won the international conference best presenter award winner in 2017. She has participated in various indoor games, debates and elocutions and awarded prizes. she has Represented College team in Softball at state level at Degree Level. Awarded as Individual champion in Arts Festival at Degree level. Won Best Actress Award at Sr. sec Youth festival State and District Level. Awarded With the Title “SMART MOM” by Blooming Flowers Delhi. Undergone the 9 years course of Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas Programme.

She has more than eleven years of experience in teaching and two years of administration. She headed the Department of Computer applications of Bharata Mata College Thrikkakara affiliated to M.G. University from June 2020 to March 2022 and before that, she was the Assistant Professor in Department of Taxation in Bharata Mata college Thrikkaraka also an Assistant professor in Department of Marketing in Bharata Mata college Thrikkakara. She has served BMC as Seminar Coordinator of Taxation and Marketing Department in the year 2014,2016; Women Cell coordinator 2018-2019, 2019-2020; Presented Equal opportunity cell before NAAC peer team in 2019; Presented Criteria V in the Exhibition arena during NAAC visit 2019; Higher Education and Result analysis Committee member from 2019.Currently, she work as a Faculty Associate at Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Kochi Campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, focusing on teaching and research.

Her teaching assignments started even before her Ph.D. Initially, she had covered topics from undergraduate courses like, Accounting, Financial Accounting, Special Accounting, SPSS, Management Accounting, Cost Accounting, Marketing, Accounting for Managerial Decision Making Banking and Income Tax. Later, she took courses in Advanced Accounting, Corporate Taxation, Advanced Financial Management, and Research Methodology. Her research focuses predominantly on Digital Wallets and Financial Instruments.

A flair for adopting the latest technologies enabled her to establish a new vertical in the Department of Commerce and Management when she was the Head of the Department in BMC Thrikkakara.
