Bio

Milton Mondal joined as an Assistant Professor in the School of Artificial Intelligence at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in October 2024. He submitted his thesis in 2024 for a Ph. D. degree in Mathematics, jointly from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. He completed his M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from Visva Bharati University in 2018.

Milton’s research interests lie in Mathematical Biology, particularly focusing on understanding the complex dynamics of ecological and biological systems through mathematical modelling and computer simulations.

Throughout his Ph. D., Milton gained substantial teaching experience, serving as a Teaching Assistant for a variety of B. Tech., M. Tech., and M. Sc. courses offered by the Department of Mathematics at IIT Madras, including Numerical Analysis of Differential Equations, Numerical Linear Algebra, Series and Matrices, Linear Algebra, and Functions of Several Variables. He also served as a Teaching Assistant for the B.Tech course “Calculus and Applications” during his research visit to Swinburne University of Technology, Australia.
