Bio

Dr. Kelath Murali Manoj currently serves as a Professor in the School of Artificial Intelligence at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. He completed his M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Goa University (DBT-sponsored), specializing in Marine Biotechnology, with a thesis titled “Degradation of Keratin to Yield Amino Acids.”

He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Biotechnology from IIT Madras, with a research tenure at the National Institute for Basic Biology, Tsukuba, Japan. His thesis was “Lipases and Their Applications in Reversed Micelles.” Dr. Manoj also conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), USA, focusing on Heme-proteins, and at Aix Université, Marseille, France, specializing in Epoxide Hydrolase.
