Bio

Dr. K. Anitha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai. With over 17 years of teaching experience and 13 years in research, she specializes in Rough Set Theory and Scientific Computing. Dr. Anitha completed her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and is a Visiting Post-Doctoral Fellow at Casimir Pulaski University of Radom, Poland. She has published 43 research articles, 4 books, and 5 book chapters, and has secured research grants from ICMR and AICTE. Dr. Anitha is currently guiding 3 full-time research scholars and has delivered numerous keynote addresses at National and International conferences. Her research interests include Fuzzy-Rough Set Theory, Algebraic Number Theory, and Geometric Function Theory. She is a life member of several professional organizations, including the Indian Society for Technical Education and the International Association of Engineers.

  1. Coordinated a two-day symposium titled ‘Infinite Insights: Unveiling Mathematical Marvels’ in honor of Srinivasa Ramanujan. The event, which explored Ramanujan’s mathematical legacy, was held on December 19-20, 2023, at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai.
  2. Organized a Guest Lecture for National Mathematics Day 2021, featuring a talk on ‘Exploring Nontrivial Zeros of the Ramanujan Zeta Function.’ The event took place on December 23, 2021, at the Chennai campus of SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
  3. Coordinated a three-day seminar focused on ‘Mathematics in the Context of Industry 4.0’ from April 27-29, 2020. The event was hosted at the Chennai campus of SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
