Dr. Vandana Rani M. currently serves as Professor in the department of Swasthavritta, Amrita School of Ayurveda. She pursued her postgraduation MD in Swasthavritha from Government Ayurveda College, Trivandrum. She joined as Lecturer in Swasthavritha at Pankajakasthuri Ayurveda College Trivandrum and served for eight years. Thereafter joined Amrita School of Ayurveda as Associate Professor. At present, she is the guide for PG students in Swastahvritha. She is also pursuing her PhD from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on a very significant and relevant matter. She has undergone short term course in Indian Astrology. She has given lectures for invited august audience at institutions like District Institute for Education and Technology (DIET). She has presented papers in national seminar and has published articles on regional dailies and magazines. She was a columnist for two years in an international magazine creating awareness in Ayurveda. She has attended many rural medical camps and has participated in campaigns for preventing widespread communicable diseases like chikun gunia. Her areas of interests are Prevention of Life Style disorders, Community health awareness.
