Bio

Dr. Rahul Satheesh completed his B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Kerala, India, in 2012, followed by an M.E. in Power Systems from Anna University, Chennai, India, in 2014. He then earned his Ph.D. in Power Systems from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala, India. Following his doctoral studies, Dr. Rahul served as a senior engineer at Bosch Global Software Technologies, where he specialized in electrification and system engineering topics in Electric Vehicles (EVs). Currently, Dr. Rahul holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Amrita School of AI, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.

 His research interests span computational and data-driven algorithms, wide-area monitoring systems, power oscillation studies, power grid resilience, smart grids, Electric Vehicle Technology, and AI applications in power systems. Actively engaged in professional circles, he is a member of the IEEE and CIGRE. Recognized for his contributions, Dr. Rahul has received prestigious awards, including the 2019 Young Innovator Award from the Kerala State Government, the 2022 Outstanding Engineer Award from IEEE PES HQ, and the 2023 Outstanding Chapter Volunteer Award from IEEE Kerala Section. His academic contributions are evidenced through numerous research articles published in various journals and his participation in several conferences.
