Bio

Dr. Maran Ponnambalam is an Assistant Professor (Sr. Gr.) in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai campus.

P. Maran is a committed Assistant Professor with vast expertise in VLSI design and mixed signal circuits. He is presently employed at Amrita School of Engineering in Chennai. Prior to this, he has also worked in similar positions at the Bangalore campus and RMK College of Engineering & Technology. Maran obtained a Ph.D. degree from Anna University, specializing in the study of phase displacement in ring voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) and ways to reduce harmonics in radio frequency (RF) mixers. He has made significant research contributions through the publication of multiple articles in academic journals and presentations at conferences. His work has focused on fields such as VCO-based ADCs, sigma-delta ADC design, and micro-strip filters. Maran possesses expertise in programming languages such as C, as well as hardware languages like VHDL and Verilog HDL. He possesses expertise in many simulation software and has completed industry training, which has improved his practical comprehension of VLSI circuits. Maran is dedicated to both instructing and conducting research, with the goal of making substantial contributions to the field of electronics and communication engineering.
