Bio

Dr. Diana Thomas currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the  Department of Cardiac Anaesthesiology, School of Medicine, Kochi. She has done DM in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anaesthesia from SCTIMST, Trivandrum, one of the top cardiac surgical centres in India. She has worked as cardiac anaesthesiologist at AIIMS, Patna and Calicut Government medical college before she joined the Paediatric cardiac anaesthesia team at Amrita. She has mentored anaesthesiology residents and helped build a strong cardiac team at both centres. With particular interest in paediatric cardiac anaesthesia and intensive care,Dr.Diana aims to improve perioperative care with a focus on fast-tracking. Apart from the clinical work, she believes in the potential of academic research and aims to contribute in its propagation at the institute.
