Sudakshina Bhattacharya, M. A., B. Ed. is a Assistant Professor since July, 2014 in the Department of English at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus. She obtained her Masters degree from Visva Bharati university, Santiniketan (founded by Rabindranath Tagore) in 1990. She completed B. Ed. from IGNOU. Prior to her joining at Amrita, she worked as a senior teacher for twenty years in a senior secondary school under the Govt. of Sikkim, which is a premiere and heritage institution in the state. For a brief span (2003-2004) she wrote as a freelancer in a Canadian newspaper named “The Kingston Whig Standard”.
