Bio

Dr. Arunkumar S, currently serves as Assistant Professor (Level 12), Regular faculty, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus. He joined this institute on 01.07.2016.

He received his Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) degree from Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Tumkur, Karnataka (2006); M.Tech. (Engg. Design) from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (2011), Coimbatore (securing 1st Rank at the university level), Tamilnadu.

He earned his Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology Madras – Chennai (2016), Tamilnadu. During his Ph.D., he performed various experiments like high-pressure tests, high-temperature fatigue (both HCF and LCF), high-temperature corrosion fatigue and small specimen tests using MTS servo-hydraulic testing machine (100 kN capacity).
