Dr. Anoop is an Associate Professor at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham- Amritapuri campus. Prof. Anoop has over 12 years of post-Ph.D. research experience in a wide range of areas in materials science. Prof. Anoop is a highly accomplished researcher with a strong track record of patents, books, and more than 75 publications in SCI journals and conferences. He also received research grants from the National Research Foundation of Korea and GIST young scientist program as the principal investigator. During his tenure at various South Korean universities, Prof. Anoop guided several M.S. and Ph.D. students.

Prof. Anoop completed his Ph.D. from the Department of Physics, Cochin University of Science and Technology in 2009. He did postdoctoral research at the School of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, Chung-Ang University, Seoul, South Korea for two years, where he worked on developing highly efficient phosphors for white light-emitting diodes in collaboration with LG Innotek, South Korea. He continued his postdoctoral research at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, where he worked on various Industrial (Samsung, LG, SK Hynix etc.) and Korean government projects. He also served as visiting scientist at CSIR-NIIST for six months. He is passionate about his research and is committed to training the next generation of scientists. His major research interests are in developing advanced functional materials and thin films for energy device applications (thermoelectric devices, dielectric capacitors), nonvolatile memory devices, and optoelectronic resistive switching memory devices for neuromorphic computing-based artificial intelligence systems.
