Bio

Amritha J. currently serves as Assistant Professor at School of Spiritual and Cultural Studies, Amritapuri campus. As a post-graduate in Life Sciences and is currently pursuing her doctoral studies on Traditional Knowledge for a sustainable future. Her research interest are Ecology, Women in Indian Traditions and Cultural Sustainability.

  • Delivers session at Shakthi workshop for women as a part of Amrita LEAP, outreach wing of School of Spiritual and Cultural Studies.
  • Understanding the line, “from the cradle to the grave”, she also conducts story-telling platform under Amrita School of Spiritual and Cultural Studies; An Indian Tale Box: Growing through Stories for little children to soak in Indian cultural values.
  • Participated in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Auditing (EA) Capacity Building Workshop conducted by School for Sustainable Future.
  • Participated in pedagogy workshop on delivering and teaching Mastery Over Mind meditation program.

  • Participated and presented at NYCIKS2023 (National Youth Conference on Indian Knowledge Systems) organised by IIT Roorkee on Sustainable Natural Resource Utilization and Management from a rural women’s perspective.
