R. Ajith Kumar holds an M.Tech and PhD degrees from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Subsequent to his PhD, he did post-doctoral fellowships at Kyungpook National University, South Korea and University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. His field of major specialization is Fluid-Structure Interaction. He also works in the fields of turbomachinery and vortex formation in liquids. He has authored several articles in international journals and conferences. He serves as an Editorial Board Member to an international journal and is also a reviewer to many reputed international journals. He is a full professor at the department of mechanical engineering at the Amritapuri Campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Deemed University), India since 2009.
