The Department of Aerospace Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, is organizing a Two-day workshop with Hands-on Sessions on the state of the Art Methadology for Multirotor Modeling and Simulation. In this workshop, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the field of multirotor aerial vehicles by assimilating the essentials of theoretical modeling and participating simulation sessions.
The rapid evolution of multirotor technology has widened the scope of drone applications across various industries. Today, multirotor unmanned aerial vehicles are employed in logistics, agriculture, construction evaluation, public safety, media, environmental obser- vation and many more areas.

For over a decade, the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has been actively involved in Research and development activities in the domain of UAV in strong collaboration with industry. The department has been collaborating on funded research projects with organizations including ISRO, DRDO, BARC, IGCAR, Bharat Forge and L & T. Research on indigenous technology development is in progress for Indian Navy and Indian Army. The department is equipped with advanced experimental facilities including Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) System, Supersonic Jet facility, Hypersonic Shock Tunnel, Compression Moulding Machine, Plasma Sputtering, Wind Tunnel and Flighr Simulator to name a few. The department offers the following programs : B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, M.Tech in Defence Technology and PhD in Aerospace Engineering.
