Dr. L. Ramakrishnan, a distinguished professor in Sustainability Management at the IndSearch, Pune, had delivered his three-part lecture series, titled ‘Sustainability Initiatives in Educational Institutions – Learning from Industrial Experience’, on the 02, 10 and 16 November 2020, online – via teams app. Each of the sessions were lasted for 2 hours and was very much informative for all the students and faculties equally.

The sessions were hosted by Gouthami G B and Vinitha S Pillai of S9 Integrated MSc Chemistry, started off with the prayer by U S Krishnanunni Namboothiri of S9 Integrated MSc Chemistry. The welcome speech was given by Dr Zeena S Pillai. Dr Mangalam Ramanathan then addressed the session. Dr Saritha A Pillai introduced the speaker.

Dr. L. Ramakrishnan gave a very beautiful lecture covering many of the important aspects like environmental issues from industries, role of educational institutions in sustainability and the role of Chemists in innovating new research for an improvement in current environmental problems. There was an interactive session towards the last of the lecture, where many students and faculties raised their queries that was beautifully answered by our speaker. 

Dr. Akhil Sivan gave the Vote of Thanks, followed by the National Anthem by Krishnanunni.
