About Online Labs

Online labs (OLabs) is an innovative virtual learning platform that brings lab experiments online, addressing challenges like limited access to physical labs, costly equipment, and geographical constraints.

Key Features:

Subjects and Disciplines Covered

The OLabs platform provides an extensive array of labs and activities for students in Classes VI-XII, covering a wide range of subjects, including: Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Computer Science and Programming, Indian Sign Language (ISL) and Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP).

These labs have been meticulously designed with pedagogical and user interface considerations, ensuring they are suitable for the target audience. Currently, the OLabs portal hosts 473 labs, with an additional 100 labs under development.  The labs are accessible through the following platforms:

OLabs Hackathon

The OLabs Hackathon (OLabsThon) is a prestigious national-level technology event organized jointly by Amrita School of Computing, ACM Student Chapter, and Amrita Center for Research in Analytics, Technologies & Education (Amrita CREATE), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri. This dynamic hackathon aims to bring together innovative minds from across the nation to enhance the OLabs platform by developing creative, practical, and scalable technological solutions. This event is supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

Core Goal: Enhancing Olabs with creative, practical, scalable, technological solutions.

Problem Statement: Design and develop innovative, scalable, and technology-driven solutions to enhance the OLabs platform, addressing key challenges in virtual education. Focus on improving the accessibility, functionality, and effectiveness of virtual labs while ensuring security, reliability, and data integrity.

Ready to Make a Difference?
