Mohammad Mokhtari has obtained his BSc, MSc, and PhD from Azarabadegan, Southampton, and Bergen Universities. He also attended Utrecht University and worked as principal geophysicist at Norsk Hydro (Norway) and NIOC. As the Director of SRC at IIEES and Member of the Board of Directors, established the National Broadband Seismic Network, Cofounder, and Director of the National Center for Earthquake Prediction and the Risk Management Excellence Center; member of the Passive Seismic Equipment Expert Panel, CTBTO and visiting researcher at GSA, Indian Ocean Tsunami Hazard Assessment. He was a member of the advisory board at InTech publication. He is now chairman of ICG/NWIO- WG, founding member of TERC and Director of Maga Makran project, at Hormozgan University, and VP of SPIRM Institute. He supervised 32 MSc and 14 PhD students. He has over 85 papers, 120 conference presentations, and 9 books.
