The Department of Chemistry, Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, is organizing an “International Conference on Advances in Material Science and Chemistry (ICAMSC – 2020)” from August 10 -12, 2020.
The event is organized in association with Amrita Centre for Research and Development (ACRD).
The Amritapuri campus, nestled in the backdrop of the beautiful village of Vallikavu, provides warmth and serenity to its visitors. It provides a homely atmosphere to the students. Located close to the international headquarters of the Mata Amritanandamayi Math, the campus provides an environment that harmoniously blends learning and research. The technical excellence of the campus has made it a learning hub for students from all around the globe. Advanced research facilities help enhance one’s appetite for learning.
The International Conference on Advances in Material Science and Chemistry (ICAMSC – 2020) aims to bring together the research scholars and the leading scientists from academic and industrial sector to exchange the knowledge and share their experiences and research outcomes about all aspects of Material Science and Chemistry. It provides a premier interdisciplinary forum for scientists, engineers, and practitioners to present their latest research findings, ideas, developments and applications.

The Department of Chemistry, Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, started functioning at Amritapuri campus in 2002. The department enjoys the status and privilege of a well flourishing inevitable academic entity of this campus, which offers about 40 courses on advanced and applied areas of chemistry and also courses on Environmental Sciences handled by 17 expert members of faculty. The department also possesses a classical chemistry lab which has been structured with a vision of transforming it into an excellent centre for research in the frontier areas of applied chemistry and allied branches.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is a multi-campus, multi-disciplinary research academia that is accredited ‘A’ by NAAC and is ranked as one of the best research institutions in India. Amrita is spread across six campuses in three states of India – Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, with the headquarters at Ettimadai, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham continuously collaborates with top US Universities including Ivy league Universities and top European Universities for regular student exchange programs and has emerged as one of the fastest growing institutions of higher learning in India. The institution is managed by the Mata Amritanandamayi Math.
The participants are requested to submit the abstracts to icamsc2020@am.amrita.edu. Abstracts must include the manuscript title, author(s), affiliation(s), contact details and key words (max. 6 words). Total content of the abstract should be no less than 250 words and no greater than 500 words. The abstract should clearly demonstrate the scope of the proposed paper or poster. It should also contain enough information for the reviewers to make an informed decision. Graphics may be included and will not form part of the word count. The decision of the evaluation committee will be intimated in due course.
The successfully presented papers in the conference will be considered for publication in the Materials Today Proceedings or in the Royal Society of Chemistry journals RSC Advances or Materials Advances or Journal of Materials Engineering and Performancefrom Springer.
The successfully presented papers in the conference will be considered for publication in the MATERIALS TODAY PROCEEDINGS or in a reputed International Journal of ROYAL SOCIETY OF CHEMISTRY or after the regular peer review process as per the requirements of the publishers. Additional publication processing charges will be applied wherever necessary.
Articles will be published after the regular peer review process as per the requirements of the publishers. Additional publication processing charges will be applied for publication in Materials Today Proceedings and RSC Advances, However, for publication in Materials Advances and Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance, there won’t be any Article Processing Charges applied.
Articles for RSC Advances or Materials Advances should be submitted through normal submission process (through Scholar One). During the submission you will be asked whether the manuscript has been submitted for a themed collection, please tick yes and write the conference title (ICAMSC-2020) in the free-text box. Please also contact the conference organizers to inform them of your submission.
Articles for Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance should be submitted (in full form) to icamsc2020@am.amrita.edu for initial screening before 15th August 2020. After the initial approval, authors will be given instructions for submitting the article to the journal.
