Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeethem will be hosting the first W36 Global Summit for Gender-related UNESCO Chairs and Networks from August 19-20, 2021. This virtual summit aims to share visions, unite voices and spark momentum for addressing challenges and co-building a bright future for all women across the globe.

The W36 Global Summit 2021 is the first-ever event gathering all 36 gender-related UNESCO Chairs and networks to join hands with one vision: to further gender equality for women and girls. The conference invites contributions around the most recent innovations, trends, concerns, and solutions adopted to address practical challenges and improve women’s resilience under the following themes:

• Systems thinking methods and models for women’s empowerment and gender equality (WE&GE)
• Applications of systems thinking to WE&GE
• Computational social sciences, simulation, machine learning algorithms for WE&GE
• Technological innovations for WE&GE
• Proposal for workshops and tutorial sessions
