Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita) is a multi-disciplinary Deemed-to-be University that offers more than 250 Academic Programs across 7 Campuses in four South Indian states of Kerala. Tamil Nadu. About Amrita School of Computing, Chennai Campus

Cyber Industry Meet

This event provides a platform for eminent people from the corporate world to share their knowledge and experience with other industries, academia as well as students. The agenda of conducting the event is to have a fruitful discussion on the challenges the industry is facing in the security domain and the role of academia in providing solutions and support to them. The event consists of representations from Industries like NEC, Zoho, and Tata Consultancy Services and Ashok Leyland.

The program will include Inauguration and invited Talk from international speaker followed by company/industry presentations and open discussions.
This event will open opportunities for budding scientists to start new research areas with industry collaboration.

Cyber Tech Fest’22

The event has 2 levels of technical events. Each event has exciting prize money.

High-Level Technical Events:

The events are meant for B.Tech student enthusiasts who are having a good idea about cybersecurity.

  • CTF (Capture The Flag) (6Hrs) is a competition containing challenges in different domains of cybersecurity such as Forensics, Web Exploitation, Reverse Engineering, OSINT, etc…
  • Ideathon with Cybersecurity – The theme will be given on the day of the event.

Basic Level Technical Events:

The events help beginner-level B.Tech students to enrich their skills in cybersecurity and lead their way to becoming Cybersecurity professionals.

  • Scavenger Hunt: Quiz-like competition with clues given in the description. And this will be an individually participating competition. Questions will be based on web exploitation.
  • Cybertrivia: An oral quiz competition that requires a team to participate in the event.
  • Debug the Code: An individual event where each participant will be given a code with errors and they should find the errors and correct them.
  • Identify a Language: An individual event where each participant will be given some program and the participant must identify the language.
  • Code in an Unknown Language: An individual competition where participants need to learn a new language in less amount of time and write the code for the given problem.
Cyber Abyaan’22

Most people are at least semi-aware that identity theft and network hacks are possible, and are reasonably good at not intentionally downloading malicious code or clicking dubious links. This event will focus on rural schools and villages to spread cyber awareness and basic training. The objective of this event is to initiate a social cyber consciousness drive to ensure that the rural population do not fall prey to malicious cyber attacks. This drive will also sensitise people on the corrective actions and support systems available in case of facing cyber related issues.
