Dr. C.V. Srikanth is a Professor at the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad, with over two decades of expertise in molecular genetics, microbiology, and gastrointestinal inflammation research. His research focuses on microbial-host interactions, immunological pathways, and epigenetic mechanisms in gastrointestinal disorders, particularly inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). He holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology and has completed postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School and the University of Massachusetts, USA. Dr. Srikanth has received the prestigious Wellcome Trust DBT Fellowship and over 3.28 crores INR in research funding. He is internationally recognized for his work on SUMOylation in microbial pathogenesis and has published extensively in journals like PLOS Pathogens and Cell Reports. A Fellow of the Molecular Immunology Forum, he also mentors Ph.D. students and postdoctoral fellows while serving on national research committees. His leadership and research continue to impact gastrointestinal health globally.
