About the Project

We investigate the possibility of enhancement of heat transfer, without concomitant mass transfer, in oscillatory flows of liquid metals and certain types of visco-elastic fluids. We investigate to find out compatible wall material and its thickness for a given fluid that has lucrative properties for heat transfer applications. We use different modes of oscillating the fluids under different geometrical conditions. Earlier works in the literate and out own earlier works indicate that possibility of further enhancing the heat flux transported by several orders of magnitude.
