Syllabus

1) To study the effect of dilution on Molar Conductivity of weak and strong electrolytes.2) Conductometric titrations.3) Potentiometeric is titrations.4) Acid Hydrolysis of Ester.5) Base Hydrolysis of an Ester by Titration and Conductometry6) Preparation and analysis of simple metal complexes.7) Gravimetric estimation of Barium as barium sulphate.8) Gravimetric estimation of Iron as ferric oxide.

Objectives and Outcomes

OUTCOME: To provide the students with necessary experience and expertise to design and conduct experiments for quantitative chemical analysis by applying the principles of inorganic and physical chemistry.

Apply principles of electrochemistry to measure the properties of electrolyte solutions.

Conduct volumetric analysis of solutions by applying principles of electrochemistry.

Conduct quantitative estimation of elements by applying the principle of gravimetric analysis.

Perform synthesis of simple metal complexes and analyze the properties of these complexes.
