Her Excellency Ms. Dana Kursh, Consul General of Israel to South India (Bengaluru), has inaugurated “Women in Sustaining the Environment” (WISE), a new collaborative research project between Amrita and Tel Aviv University on February 11, 2019 at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus.
The ‘Team Vision’ and ‘Team Exalt’, two student hackathon teams from the School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, showcased outstanding performances and secured a prominent position among top 20 teams that represented India, in the 30 hour Singapore-India Hackathon 2018.
Amrita Darshanam, International Center for Spiritual Studies, organised an invited talk on ‘The Philosophy of Indian Art’ on January 29, 2019. The session was handled by Dr. Satavadhani R. Ganesh, a renowned Sanskrit poet and a master of Avadhāna – an ancient art form of literary performance.
Dr. Aswathy S., Professor and Head of the Department of Community Medicine, School of Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, received the prestigious Bernard Lown Fellowship in Cardiovascular Health program which will enable her to work with the best minds in cardiovascular research at the Harvard. T. H. Chan School of Public Health.
