The center for Cyber Security was identified by TIFAC (Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India) as a CORE in Cyber Security in September 2005. The TIFAC-CORE in Cyber Security gives significant thrust to the frontier areas of Cyber Security, including technology, practice, management, and policy issues. This TIFAC-CORE in Cyber Security at Amrita is a collaborative alliance of academic and industrial partners.

Cyber security is a very fast moving field. A program in security that aims to be on the forefront has to necessarily have a companion-advanced program that has a good balance between theoretical and practical aspects, analytical methods and system architectures, academic ideas and industry practices. TIFAC-CORE in Cyber Security offers a M. Tech in Cyber Security. Amrita’s Cyber Security M. Tech. program, started in 2005, is the first of its kind in the country.
Two years at Amrita provided a platform to help me evolve personally and professionally. The faculty members at Amrita are unique as they prepare us to face. They train us to think out of the box. This helped me to grow personally and professionally to a large extent. Being inquisitive has always helped me achieve new heights and improve my skillset and knowledge.

Amrita TIFAC-CORE in Cyber Security was the turning point in my career path. They helped me in gaining a lot of practical exposure to industries like real-world research and work. All the well-experienced lectures played a huge part in molding me and made me a better person in my career.
The 2 years that I had in the Amrita Campus provided a lot of avenues for me to grow professionally and personally. This campus gave me some of the best memories of my college life. With the help of the faculty, the hands-on training and ventures, helped me gain experiences and thereby mold me into being who I am today.
AMRITA TIFAC-CORE in Cyber Security helped mold the fundamentals of Cyber Security principles with a strong emphasis on developing through a clear understanding of the basics. The lectures were crisp and clear, the teachers highly qualified and passionate about their fields and the infrastructure was top notch.
Amrita’s Cyber Security department has given me new insights into the world of cyber security. From day one till the day of graduation, there were a lot of wonderful experiences both curricular and extracurricular. The faculty members have supported throughout the journey in Amrita and are really capable of guiding us in the apt direction. We have got numerous opportunities to volunteer and host various academic events within the campus.
I remember the time at Amrita as 2 years that helped me the most with my life. First of all, it gave me the right environment to learn about infosec, while giving me enough time and space to explore other verticals as well. I was able to use the time to improve my development skills and security skills. The professors were so good at what they teach, and the syllabus was well-curated and planned to make us understand the real-world application of what we study.
It was a great experience with Amrita and learned a lot from everyone over there. There was a lot of learning scope which helped us in many ways. I really feel proud to be part of the Amrita Family.

Our department is a team of highly proficient teachers who are very up-to-date in the field of Cyber Security and always enthusiastic and willing to help. The well-equipped labs which have always been in sync with the novel and advanced technologies provided the much needed hands-on experience and made me industry-ready. Needless to say, the campus is so wide and serene and has a harmonious blend of nature and advanced amenities.
Getting a Masters’ Degree from our Centre was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The knowledge and skills that I learned from our faculty is helping me carve a niche in my professional life.
