Dr. Arathi G.R. currently serves as Research Scientist at AMBC. She defended her Ph.D thesis titles on Mathematical modeling of neuronal circuit dynamics and physiological functions of rat cerebellum and basal ganglia, under the guidance of Dr. Shyam Diwakar (AMBC). Arathi completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Bioinformatics from Mahatma Gandhi university (Kerala) and Amrita Vishwa vidyapeetham university respectively. Her undergraduate project dissertation on Systems biology approaches to the carbohydrate mechanism, Glycolysis. She has a master’s dissertation titled on Estimation of mutual information at mossy fiber-granule cell relay. During the tenure, she worked as a teaching assistant at Amrita School of Biotechnology. Currently she is working on the mathematical modeling of learning mechanisms in interconnected motor neuronal systems in the brain, this study allows the detailed exploration of learning, developing and forming memories.
