Rangoli contest on a topic Biodiversity of Western Ghats was conducted by Amrita Nature Club on December 20, 2019 for Amrita students. Ten students participated in the Rangoli making contest. Students came out with innovative ideas and made rangolis on endangered species like Tiger and endemic species such as Malabar Parakeet. Few of them made rangolis on Lives on land and forest conservation. The purpose of Education through fun and art was served.
Painting contest for Amrita students on the topic of Biodiversity of Western Ghats was conducted on December 21, 2019. Students actively participated and drawn paintings of various themes on nature and biodiversity. Paintings were so good that we faced difficulty in judging.
Photography contest for Amrita students was conducted on a topic of Biodiversity of Western Ghats on December 23, 2019. We received nearly 50 stunning photographs on flora and fauna and landscapes in the Western Ghats for this contest. The first prize is bagged by Mr. Hari Krishnan who has beautifully captured herd of Asian Elephants in the jungle near river bank which is an endangered animal. Second prize is bagged by who captured Brahminy Kite.
