The Center of Excellence in Advanced Materials and Green Technologies offers, in coordination with the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, two interdisciplinary academic programs:
Students from diverse disciplines join both these programs – including from engineering (Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology) and sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Nanoscience) streams.
The focus of both these programs is to provide broad-based training in materials synthesis, characterization, modification and specialization in one of the research areas that the Center engages in.
The Center offers workshops, training and certification programs and webinars on materials characterization, sustainable energy technologies, sustainable water quality monitoring and management, polymer nanocomposites, design of experiments and many more areas of research interest. Announcements regarding these programs are available here (Events and Updates page).
