Amrita Center for Wireless Networks & Applications, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has launched a new Research Facility in the field of RF & Microwave to provide cutting-edge facilities for research, development and testing of advanced systems and technologies in the field of Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave Engineering. The lab is entitled as ‘AMRITATARANG – Advanced RF and Microwave Research Lab’, which is the first of its kind in India in the field of RF and Microwave Engineering, with the following capabilities:

The laboratory would strive to foster innovation and excellence in the design, development and implementation of RF & Microwave components and systems, and provide a world-class facility that promotes innovation, excellence and collaboration in this field. The thrust areas of research include antennas for wireless communication, disaster reduction and rescue operations, wearable and healthcare applications, advanced 5G and towards 6G, microwave resonators for sensor applications and also provide solutions to reduce the electromagnetic radiation hazards towards living communities. All the thrust areas of research are focused on bringing solutions for societal benefits.
