AMR is a global health crisis faced by humanity today, with a significant impact on economy worldwide. Systematic analysis of global antimicrobial resistance (AMR) data from 2019 credits a group of only six bacterial pathogens responsible for 3.57 million of a total 4.95 million deaths associated with antimicrobial resistance globally. Three of these top six pathogens are the Gram-negative bacteria Acinetobacter baumannii, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The need for innovative solutions to combat this silent pandemic are needed more than ever before.
