Hence, Amrita Darshanam, International Centre for Spiritual Studies, is the Centre of Excellence for study and research in the area of spiritual studies with its focus on Indian philosophy, arts, literature, culture, tradition, and society.
Office of Youth Empowerment, a sector of Amrita School of Spiritual and Cultural Studies is devoted to inculcate universal values of love, compassion and self-less service in the society especially in youngsters. With the increase in number of young adults falling prey for negative influences in society, office of YE aims to help guide youngsters in living meaningful life through activities that are tailored to their taste.
The trainers at OYE travel and coordinate AYUDH, IAM & Amrita Yoga activities, Trainings and projects across India. Through AYUDH, we try to nurture compassionate youth for a peaceful & sustainable world. IAM Technique & Amrita Yoga enable individuals to reach their highest potential. The culture at OYE is Service oriented not Business Oriented. We get the satisfaction of being a catalyst for positive change in the lives of thousands and thereby in the world.
Major events under the office include The Power of IAM Leaders conclave that will address the importance for India’s leaders from all fields to prioritize self-empowerment & development amidst their busy work lives along with the Integrated Amrita Meditation (IAM) training, AYUDH Level Leaders Training Summit where more than 1500 youngsters from 23 states of India join hands for a better India.
With more than 500+ AYUDH chapters active all over the country, office of Youth Empowerment hopes to become Amma’s messenger in assisting youngsters recognize their full potential who take forward our society in the right direction and for peaceful future generations.

The University and IGNCA have mutually agreed to work and explore the avenues of educational exchanges.
The Centre joins hands with IGNCA to support faculty research, collaborative research projects, student programs at IGNCA, access to IGNCA library and archival resources, appointment of IGNCA faculty staff as members of Advisory Committee or Joint Supervisor/ Co-guide for Ph.D. scholars at Amrita, mentorship of students’ projects by IGNCA faculty staff, collaboration in conferences, seminars, workshops, exhibitions and festivals, development of digital resources and offering credit/non-credit courses to students in the fields of textual research, Vedic studies,
Translation Studies, manuscriptology, Oral Traditions, folklore, traditional knowledge system, performing arts, storytelling traditions, cultural informatics, conservation and other area studies with the appropriate departments at Amrita. The objective of MoU signed between Dr. P. Venkat Rangan, Vice-Chancellor, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary, IGNCA, is to contribute to the promotion of Indian cultural heritage, cultural informatics and other allied areas among the youth.
As part of the MoU signed by the University with Teachers College, Columbia University, the Centre has an active collaboration with Teachers College. Post-graduate students of Spirituality Mind Body Institute at Teachers College assisted by faculty annually visit Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Mata Amritanandamayi Math for spiritual retreats.
The Centre collaborates with NAMAMI, Government of India on the projects on surveying, listing, cataloguing, and conducting awareness campaigns for NAMAMI, with the aim of preserving the vast manuscript heritage of India and disseminating knowledge contained therein for educational and research purposes.
Amrita Darshanam, International Centre for Spiritual Studies (ICSS) proudly presents AMRITA LEAP a first-of-a-kind top tier training programme themed Education for Life, with workshop sessions for high school students from Class 8 to 12 as a part of the university’s outreach programming of activities.
