Realizing the impact of the industry-university partnership in transforming research and education to greater heights, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has created the Amrita Center for Industrial Research and Innovation (ACIRI), which serves as a focal point and hub dedicated to conducting and promoting industrially relevant research based on scientific enquiry. ACIRI’s goal is to create an advanced technological infrastructure to power innovation.
Our resources include Corporate and Industry Relations (CIR) personnel who can cross university-industry boundaries. At ACIRI, our approach to projects include all three forms of work in science and technology, namely basic research, applied research, and development, representing the different stages of the innovation pathway, from creating scientific knowledge-base to the creation of useful products. ACIRI’s research activities focus on doing something novel and different rather than doing the same thing better and we commit ourselves to the spread and transfer of knowledge.
