Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, has initiated Serve an Hour (SaH) program in an effort to bring its students to explore the real creativity within.
The ‘Jivamritam’project of Mata Amritanandamayi Math has been successfully deployed at 9 Karayogams in Alappad, Kollam district, Kerala, benefitting approximately 22000 people in the area.
In an endeavor to protect and contribute to Mother Earth, the students of Department of Management, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi Campus (DOM-Kochi), planted saplings on November 1, 2017, the day which is celebrated as ‘Kerala Piravi Dinam.’
The staff and faculty members from Amritapuri Campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, AYUDH India and Mata Amritanandamayi Math volunteers, collectively around 1200 volunteers, joined for a two day Sabarimala Cleanup Drive held on 11th and 12th November, 2017.

She has been working with tribal communities of Singampathy, Sarkarporathy and Kalkotipathy to make furniture from the forest weed, Lantana and thereby helping them create a sustainable livelihood in the modern world.
Students and faculty members of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham MBA Programme, Kochi, visited the Amrita Institute for Differently Abled at Vallummel, Kochi, as part of Social Outreach activities, on January 19, 2017, under the guidance of Dr. N. R. Menon. They spent time with the students and inmates there, who exhibited their talents in dancing, singing and acting.
