Prof. Shobhana Madhavan, Associate Professor, Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore, participated in a panel discussion as part of a TIE Women event named AIRSWEE – ‘All India Road Show on Women’s Economic Empowerment through Entrepreneurship’. The event was organized on 1st March, 2017, at Taj Vivanta, Coimbatore.
A paper on Sakshat Amrita Virtual Labs titled, “Complementing Education via Virtual Labs: Implementation and Deployment of Remote Laboratories and Usage Analysis in South Indian Villages”, published in 2016 by International Journal of Online Engineering (iJOE), was awarded the “iJOE Outstanding Paper Award”.

Professors Avinash Shivdas and Sougata Ray from Amrita MBA Program, Amritapuri, received the best paper award for their paper titled “Resource Utilization by Pharmaceutical Companies in India: Emphasis on R&D, Labor and Capital”, that was presented at the International Conference for Data Management, Analytics and Innovation held at Pune during 24th-26th February, 2017.
A high-level delegation from the University of Twente, Netherlands, visited Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore on 7 February 2017. The visit was a part of a high-level meeting at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and was reciprocal to the team visit by the faculty members of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducted to their campus earlier.
