Professional Studio
Considering the need and the challenges to meet the requirement of imparting high quality education in the field of Visual Media and Communication, the department has a state of art television studio. The studio is equipped with Sony-4K Cameras, High end Mac System for production with high quality Audio-Video interface.
A separate audio-booth is equipped with Rhode Microphones supported by Mac systems for audio recording.
The main studio consists of multipoint cool lights with a dedicated digital dimmer control. The studio also has provision for high quality Chroma-Key process.
Digital photography using DSLR camera and multipoint lighting is made possible in the studio. Audio-video editing process is supported by FCP & Logic-Pro.

Computer Labs
Computer Labs at the School are equipped with advanced and sophisticated networked computing environment with state of Art technology.
Over 280 Desktop systems are networked over fast Ethernet and Wireless LAN using switches and routers with high speed Internet connectivity, installed with advanced programming tools and Multimedia features.
Lab Details
There are 5 labs each with 36 workstations that are well maintained under the supervision of the lab technicians.The computers have newer versions of software installed in them with each student provided with their own private drive and periodically the systems are upgraded. Each lab has resources of internet and a printer. Also, throughout the semester students can work on the systems beyond the college timings.
More than 180 nodes connected via ethernet switches of the network. Thus ensuring that there is atleast one high end computer available to each student and faculty within the campus. Each terminal is not only loaded with the basic softwares, but also allows students access to the more sophisticated design tools. The campus has 24 Mbps internet connection.
The well equipped labs at Amrita provide access to students on a 1:1 basis.

Along with its focus on Academics ,the School encourages students in sports and games.Regular coaching in different games has made it possible for a number of students to get selected for South Zone Inter-University games. A multi purpose Gym is setup to train students in Power lifting and Weight lifting.
The school facilitates the students with progression and overall development through physical education by providing gym and sport facilities. It promotes the student in physical activity participation.
Outdoor sports such as cricket, football, basketball, volleyball as well as indoor games like table tennis, chess and caroom is provided in the campus.
The campus provides a multi gym facility that has well maintained fitness equipment that is utilized by the students and faculty members under the guidance of a professional trainer.

Hostel And Transport
The School extends Hostel facilities to its out station students, providing a secure calm and homely atmosphere, campus hostel has two separate blocks for boys and girls accommodating around 750 students with hot water supplied to all blocks.With the support and loving care of resident wardens both in boys and girls hostel.
The rooms are furnished with a bed and shelves for each occupant.
The hostel primarily provides study rooms along with internet facility like Wi-Fi,TV Rooms is available at both hostels.

It is a multipurpose hall with a seating capacity of 1200 members which forms a venue for events like Annual Day, Fests and other major programs conducted in campus.
AUMS
AUMS- Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Management System, an online data cum resource management software is used at Amrita to maintain student, staff and resource records resulting in increased efficiency and accuracy in routine processes. It includes modules on admission, administration, academics, accounts, examination, library and others.
