About the Project
  1. To develop a deep learning model that extracts transferable information from multiple crops simultaneously for yield prediction using multiple correlation and regression techniques.
  2. To improve the computational efficiency, we propose a transfer learning approach by weights sharing principle in feature extraction among multiple crops.
  3. To provide a solution for yield forecast that demands fewer data when compared to existing methods that require large amounts of remote sensing data. This model retrieves the input parameters from weather, soil properties for a given latitude and longitude.
  4. To identify the scalability of the proposed approach for agriculture applications at the regional scale.
