The concept of enhancement of heat transfer in the laminar oscillatory flow of viscous fluids began with the seminal work of Kurzweg during 1985. He designed a heat pipe, which is called the dream pipe in the current literature, in which very high heat transfer rates are achieved. In the present study, it is determined to investigate the combined effects of conjugation, magnetic field and oscillation on the enhancement of heat transfer in the laminar flow of nano fluids in dream pipes and determine whether nano fluids are preferable to liquid metals and viscoelastic fluids and triangular pressure gradient wave forms are preferable to sinusoidal waveforms or vice versa in the conjugate heat transfer problems pertaining to the enhancement of heat transfer. The new insights to be gained by the present investigation may be useful while designing electromagnetic micro channel nano fluid heat exchangers.
