Amrita ACAT is a nationwide test conducted across all our six prestigious campuses in Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Nagercoil, and Kochi through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.

Eligibility & Process

Eligibility
  • UG degree (10+2+3 Pattern), recognized by AIU (Association of Indian Universities)
  • Minimum 50% aggregate in 10th, 12th, and UG for Amaravati, Amritapuri, Kochi, and Bengaluru campuses. Minimum 60% aggregate in 10th, 12th, and UG for Coimbatore Campus. Students in their final year can apply with the last completed semester results.
  • Any one of the valid test scores of Rank in Amrita Common Aptitude Test (ACAT) / CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / GMAT / GRE. Candidates appearing for these tests can apply with the test registration number.
  • Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore Campus accepts NMAT scores.
  • Department of Management, Kochi and Amritapuri (Kollam) campuses accepts valid KMAT scores.
  • Candidates applying for MBA-MS at Bengaluru need to have a minimum IBT-TOEFL score of 79 or IELTS score of 6.5 with individual category score of 6 or a PTE score of 55 with individual category score of 50 (to be submitted on or before August 20, 2024.)
  • Those appearing for final year examinations of Bachelor’s degree may also apply, subject to the completion of their examinations and viva-voce, if any, before June 30, 2024.
  • It is mandatory for a final year student, who is provisionally considered eligible by ASB, Coimbatore and admitted, to submit the mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor’s degree examination latest by October 2024.
  • Candidates with work experience will have an added advantage for admissions.

Selection Process
  • The selection process will be based on the best score secured in the Amrita Common Aptitude Test (ACAT) or valid test score of CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT/XAT/GRE/KMAT/NMAT
  • Candidates are short-listed for Personal Interview (PI), based on their academic and test scores, and will be informed about the PI date by email and SMS. (Candidates who are not shortlisted will not get any communication)
  • During the PI candidates will be evaluated on their written and verbal communication skills, subject and general knowledge, and overall personality.
  • Offer letter sent to the candidates to the successful candidates by email.
  • Selected candidates need to make the payment online by the said date.

The total number of scholarships will be limited to 50 percent of the batch size.

Renewal of Scholarship Fees:

Renewal of scholarship fees for the second year is subject to meeting the following conditions:

  1. Consistent Academic performance by securing a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 8 at the end of the first year of the programme, having cleared all papers in the first attempt.
  2. A certificate of good conduct from the Principal. S/he will take into account if any disciplinary action was taken against the student during the period of study in the University.

If a candidate fails to meet the aforementioned 3 conditions, he/she will be required to pay the full fees (Rs. 3 lakhs) in the second year.

Scholarship in the second year for those not eligible in the first year

To encourage good academic achievement, scholarships will be provided in slab 3 for the second year subject to the following conditions. The number of scholarships will be limited to 10 percent of the batch size.

  1. Consistent Academic performance by securing a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 8 at the end of the first year of the programme, having cleared all papers in the first attempt.
  2. A certificate of good conduct from the Principal. S/he will take into account if any disciplinary action was taken against the student during the period of study in the University

If there are more eligible students, the top in terms of CGPA will be considered for the award of such scholarships.

Coimbatore

Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore, is dedicated to recognizing and rewarding academic excellence, talent, and potential through our Admission Scholarship Policy. To be considered, applicants must demonstrate a consistent record of academic excellence across Class 10, Class 12, undergraduate studies, and one of the entrance exams (CAT, MAT, or ACAT). Based on the selection process, students may receive scholarships up to 100%. Applications meeting these criteria will be shortlisted, and selected candidates will be notified accordingly. The renewal of scholarships for the second year will be determined by the scholarship committee based on the student’s academic performance in the first year of the MBA program. Scholarship terms are subject to change at the discretion of the scholarship committee. By fostering a diverse and dynamic community of scholars, we strive to support the aspirations of our students and contribute positively to society.
